Campus Security Act (Clery Act) and Annual Fire Safety Report
The University of Minnesota is committed to assisting all members of the university community in providing for their own safety and security. Information regarding campus security, personal safety, and fire safety including topics such as, crime prevention, university police law enforcement authority, crime reporting policies, crime statistics for the most recent three year period, and disciplinary procedures is available by following the link for the University of Minnesota Campus you are interested in.
These statistics are part of the University of Minnesota's compliance with the *Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act *(informally known as the "Clery Act"). More information on the Clery Act can be found at (www.securityoncampus.org).
Statistics for the previous three calendar years are updated annually by October 1. Each campus produces a report that is made available to all current and prospective students, staff and faculty of their respective campus. The statistics are compiled in consultation with area law enforcement and campus security authorities for each campus.
