ROBBERY - Sports Pavilion/Mariucci Arena

On Tuesday, October 30 at 6:30 p.m. a University of Minnesota student was the victim of a robbery near the intersection of 4th Street SE and 19th Avenue SE, which is adjacent to the Sports Pavilion and Mariucci Arena on the East Bank of the Twin Cities Campus. The student reported the robbery to the UMPD on Wednesday, October 31.
The victim was not injured during the robbery. A gun was implied, but not observed by the victim. After the reported robbery, the suspect fled southbound from the location.
The victim described the suspect as follows:
Dark-skinned black male, approximately 20-30 years old, approximately 6 feet tall with a medium build. The suspect was wearing a navy blue hooded sweatshirt with the hood over his head, and baggy blue jeans.
Racial descriptors alone are not a valid reason to profile or cast suspicion on an individual. In cases of serious crime such as this we may include them only as part of the totality of circumstances, if it may reasonably assist in the identification of the perpetrators.

description, facial features, body piercing or tattoos, speech, etc).
