Crime alerts are posted and distributed for your information and safety. Most alerts are sent via e-mail to all Twin Cities Campus students, faculty and staff. However, in some cases they are e-mailed to smaller segments of the campus, such as students living in residence halls when a crime is specific to a residence hall(s). By notifying you quickly about a crime trend that may affect you or your community, you will have a better opportunity to take measures to protect yourself. If you have any information about any of the crime alerts listed below please follow the instructions given for reporting information. If you are unsure of what to do, you can call the UMPD Tip-line at 612-626-TIPS (8477).
Alerts will remain on the this webpage for 30 days. After that time, the alert will be moved to the Archived Crime Alerts link below on this webpage for one year from the date of the alert. If the UMPD has determined the threat has passed, the alert may be moved to the Archived Crime Alerts link below prior to the 30 days. If, after 30 days, the UMPD believes that the threat to the community continues, the alert will continue to be maintained on this main alert webpage.
