Crime alerts are posted and distributed for your information and safety. Alerts are sent via e-mail to all Twin Cities Campus students, faculty and staff.
By notifying you quickly about a crime trend that may affect you or your community, you will have a better opportunity to take measures to protect yourself. If you have any information about any of the crime alerts listed below please follow the instructions given for reporting information. If you are unsure of what to do, you can call 612-624-COPS (2677).
Faculty, staff, and students on the Twin Cities campus automatically receive emailed Crime Alerts and Public Safety Updates. Individuals who are not part of the University but would like to receive these emails may subscribe to updates.

If the UMPD has determined the threat has passed, the alert may be moved to the Archived Crime Alerts link below prior to the 30 days. If, after 30 days, the UMPD believes that the threat to the community continues, the alert will continue to be maintained on this main alert webpage.
