As Director of the NIH/NIDR Minnesota Oral Health Research Center, Bruce's research interests are focused on transferring basic and applied research knowledge and new technical advances into patient oriented research. Specifically, Bruce has considerable experience and interest in conducting Phase II and III FDA clinical trials, non-FDA efficacy trials and field trials of various therapeutic agents for the treatment of oral diseases. Bruce is also interested in research concerning risk factors for the periodontal diseases witha special emphasis on genetics. He maintains an active interest in the design of clinical oral health research and associated biometric issues.
