Take advantage of the Healthy Pregnancy program from Medica to give your baby a healthy start. As an expectant mother, this program can help you stay well and feel good throughout your pregnancy and after your newborn arrives.

2012-2013: A participant will also be able to earn 50 points for his/her Wellness Points Bank by completing the Healthy Pregnancy program no later than August 31, 2013. You can begin earning wellness points toward lower premiums in 2014 beginning on Monday, October 1, 2012.

When you enroll in the confidential Healthy Pregnancy program from Medica, you can benefit from:

• Early and ongoing prenatal care
• Advice from a registered nurse who is up-to-date on your condition and can answer your questions
• Professional help in controlling risk factors such as high blood pressure that can negatively impact your pregnancy
• Assistance in finding prenatal classes, tobacco cessation programs, and community or on-campus resources

Earn 50 Points for Your Wellness Points Bank

The Healthy Pregnancy program is open to a UPlan Medical Program-covered employee or spouse/same-sex domestic partner. When you enroll while you are pregnant and complete a minimum of two telephone calls with a registered nurse while you are expecting and one phone call with a Medica provider after the birth of your baby, you can accumulate 50 points for your Wellness Points Bank.
