The University of Minnesota Farmers Market wrapped up its eighth season on Wednesday, October 10, 2012. The market featured Twin Cities-area vendors who travel 2.5 hours or less to deliver and sell everything from berries to sweet corn to tomatoes to squash. As is the tradition, the market is held rain or shine, every Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Next summer, it will begin again on July 10. It is located on the Church Street pedestrian mall, East Bank campus.
From field to fork and garden to kitchen table, the market offers produce and flowers that are freshly-picked and sold by the grower to you. Cornercopia, a University of Minnesota student-managed farm, is the only organically-grown produce vendor.
Remember! When you shop at the market bring along a reusable bag to tote your market goods. Also bring small bills to pay with cash.

The final market of the 2012 season was held on Wednesday, October 10. The market will be back next summer! In the meantime find pumpkins, squash, and other fresh vegetables on Wednesday on the St. Paul campus. Cornercopia, the student-managed organic farm, is selling produce every Wednesday afternoon from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Andrew Boss Lab - Meat Science building.
