When you or a family member are ill or injured, you want help quickly. Ask Mayo Clinic registered nurses are on duty around-the-clock, 365 days a year, to answer your health-related questions. You will find the toll free Ask Mayo Clinic telephone number on the back of your UPlan Medical Program or Pharmacy ID wallet card. This service is available to you at no charge to you as part of your employee benefits.

Ask Mayo Clinic can provide answers when:

Your child has a stuffy nose, cough and sinus headache …
…is it a cold or allergies?

Your back is aching after a long day of yard work …
…is ice or heat better for your sore back?

Your child wakes up at 2 a.m. with a high fever …
…can you wait until morning to call the doctor, or should you go to the emergency room now?

Ask Mayo Clinic nurses can help you decide on the appropriate level of care for illness and injuries.

Especially for UPlan members

After speaking with an experienced registered nurse about an illness or new diagnosis, you may want to request a packet of information tailored to your needs from Mayo Clinic's extensive medical and patient education library. It will be mailed to you so you can read the material at your convenience. All materials have been reviewed and approved by Mayo Clinic experts so you know you are receiving reliable, up-to-date resources.

Ask Mayo Clinic nurses may also refer you to online resources at www.mayoclinic.com.
