Coming Summer 2008

The University of Minnesota Farmers Market will begin its fourth season this summer on July 9, 2008. The market is held every Wednesday on Church Street, on the East Bank, and runs from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. We are looking forward to the new market season.

Bringing Fresh Produce and Flowers to Campus

The University of Minnesota Farmers Market features vendors who have been contracted to sell locally-grown produce, berries, and fresh flowers. Visitors to the market can also purchase maple syrup and apples from the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.

Enjoy cooking tips and recipes prepared for the Farmers Market by author and food writer Ann L. Burckhardt, retired editor of the popular “Taste” section of the Star Tribune newspaper.

Sponsored by the Office of Human Resources, Employee Wellness Program, the market brings fresh produce to the Twin Cities campus to promote a healthy workplace and a healthy lifestyle for employees and people from the surrounding neighborhoods.
