OptumHealth℠ 24/7 NurseLine℠ services are available around-the-clock to answer questions from UPlan members. Call toll-free, night or day, to reach an experienced registered nurse to:

• recognize symptoms and choose appropriate health care
• learn to manage a medical condition and explore treatment options
• identify potential medication side effects
• make the most of your clinic visits
• achieve a healthful lifestyle

This private and confidential service is available to you and your family members at no charge as one of the benefits offered through the Wellness Program.

The OptumHealth℠ 24/7 NurseLine℠ toll-free number is listed on the back side of a UPlan member's wallet-sized health plan card.

A Library of Information Available to You

In addition to the telephone service, the University has contracted with OptumHealth℠ to offer a library of pre-recorded health messages available by phone. Ask a nurse about the topics included in the library. Access the library with the University's personal identification number (PIN): 367

Chat "Live" Online with a Registered Nurse

Want an e-visit with an RN? First, telephone the OptumHealth℠ 24/7 NurseLine℠ toll-free number that is listed on the back side of your  wallet-sized health plan card. Then, inquire about how to chat online rather than communicate by telephone. During your online visit, the nurse can display Web pages and recommend other helpful resources related to your topic of interest. You can also request a written transcript of your e-conversation for future reference.

Who Can Use these Services?

These services are available to all employees and their dependents including early retirees, COBRA enrollees, etc., who are covered by the UPlan Medical Program. Employees are automatically enrolled in this service following the annual selection of the providers of their health care benefits.
