Campuses:
The Step It Up! program from StayWell Online is a fun way to increase your daily physical activity. The six-week program offers you a free pedometer and an online method to track your activity. The goal is to work toward logging 10,000 steps within a single day. You will need to track steps for at least one day each week for six weeks. In addition to walking, many forms of exercise—biking, swimming, gardening—can count!
As a UPlan Medical Program member, when you complete the Step It Up! walking program no later than August 31, 2013, you (and your spouse/same-sex domestic partner if also covered by the UPlan) can accumulate 50 points for your Wellness Points Bank.
Be sure to sign up for Step It Up! by June 30, 2013. (See instructions below.)
Once you have completed the registration process for Step It Up!, please allow up to 10 business days to receive your pedometer.
While you are waiting for your pedometer to arrive in the U.S. mailbox, track your steps, and the physical activity you do by using the conversion calculator that is built into the Step It Up! program. With the calculator you can convert many types of physical activity—for example: biking, gardening, or swimming—to steps.
Use the step conversion calculator that is built into the online program to convert activities such as biking, gardening, or swimming, to steps.

Deadline: August 31, 2013
