The University’s compensation policies and philosophy are the foundation of our employee retention and recruitment efforts. Our compensation practices are guided by civil service rules, union contracts, government regulations, and the Minnesota Public Employment Labor Relations Act (PELRA). The distinct pay policies and practices of each employee group reinforce the governance requirements, employment laws, and values of the University and its employees.
