The process of managing employee performance is critical to the success of employees, colleges/units, and the University. Performance appraisals for each employee shall be submitted at least once each year using either a standard University evaluation form or one that is an approved substitute for that standard form. The University-wide performance appraisal forms are located online.
In some cases, colleges/departments/units may prefer to develop a performance appraisal/management plan (including a process, appraisal forms, and training for supervisors) specific to their unit. Alternate performance appraisal plans must be developed in conjunction with the unit's HR Pro and their OHR Human Resources Consultant and approved by the Office of Human Resources.
Units are encouraged to record the dates of all completed performance reviews in the PeopleSoft system.
Employees hired, rehired, transferred to a new position, or promoted between March 6 and July 1, 2006 will be placed onto steps under the new classification system. All other employees will be placed onto the new steps on their anniversary date which falls between July 1, 2006 and June 30, 2007.
Wage rate tables are published in the 2006-2007 union contract. (Appendix D Salary Rate Information)
