For the past twelve years I have had the opportunity to work with faculty and TAs at the University of Minnesota on issues of teaching and learning. My responsibilities at the Center include working with instructors on a one-to-one basis through confidential consultations, facilitating workshops, and the New Faculty Orientation, working with Mid-Career Teaching Program, and teaching in the Preparing Future Faculty Program. I particularly enjoy consulting with faculty and TAs on an individual basis on issues such as designing an effective syllabus, interpreting student evaluations, increasing student participation, and assessing student learning.
