Some of my administrative responsibilities include directing the International Teaching Assistant program, developing internal CTL processes and procedures, and supervising the administrative support team.

In addition to my administrative responsibilities, I present workshops to faculty and teaching assistants on topics such as group work, instructional approaches, and documenting teaching effectiveness. I also provide individual consultations for faculty and teaching assistants and teach in the International Teaching Assistant program.

Some of my interests include curriculum design, international issues in higher education, faculty development, and second language pedagogy. I also maintain a keen interest in China, having lived there for six years as an instructor and a student. I have taught ESL at Peking University and other Chinese higher education institutions prior to working at the University of Minnesota.
