Core supervisory skills training is designed to help new and experienced supervisors review the basic skills needed for effective supervision. The program is highly interactive, with many opportunities for hands-on learning and group discussion. Participants are expected to register for the full series.

Sessions are facilitated by Human Resources experts from the University of Minnesota community.

Registration Options

The Supervisory Core is offered in two formats:

  • seven half-day sessions over the course of seven weeks during the academic year
  • three full-day sessions in retreat format during the summer

Both the seven-week and three-day formats cover the same material.
