Finding Child Care

Off-Campus Child Care

The Relocation Assistance Program works with the Office of Human Resources Work/Life Program to offer child care resources through Career/Life Alliance Services. CLAS is an online resource and referral service giving University employees access to information on child care, elder care, education, and healthy lifestyles. Visit the Work/Life Web site for more information. Families may search for child care based on location, home/center care, and other criteria.

On-Campus Child Care

University of Minnesota Child Care Center

Located near the East Bank campus, the University Child Care Center serves children, ages 3 months to pre-kindergarten, of U faculty, staff, and students. As there is a long waiting list, be sure to consider other child care options. Contact the center for an application.

Shirley G. Moore Laboratory Nursery School

The Shirley G. Moore Laboratory Nursery School offers a half-day program for children ages 2 to 5 years old. Licensed for 54 children, applicants are selected randomly from the waiting list.

Child Care Centers in Student Housing
