500.100 Aggregate Salary Base.

The Aggregate Salary Base used to calculate available dollars for salary adjustments shall consist of the sum of the previous fiscal year's actual base salary of eligible Members. Eligibility for the following provisions shall be limited to those Members who also were Members during the previous academic year.

500.110 One Semester Eligibility.

Members who were Members for only one semester of the previous academic year shall receive only the across-the-board salary increases described in section 501.000

500.150 Promotions.

For Members receiving the promotions listed herein that become effective during the contract period, the following amounts shall be added to their previous year's base salary, prorated by term and percent time appointment: for 2006-07 the additional salary amounts will be $1650 for promotion to Assistant Professor; $1900 for promotion to Associate Professor;$2500 for promotion to Professor; for 2007-08 and 2008-09 the additional salary amounts will be $1650 for promotion to Assistant Professor; $2400 for promotion to Associate Professor; $3150 for promotion to Professor; provided that no such adjustment for promotion shall be based solely upon completion of a terminal degree. In addition, a Member initially hired on a probationary appointment at the rank of Associate Professor shall have $1750 added to his/her base salary upon receipt of tenure.

500.200 Merit.

Effective beginning each fiscal year of the contract, the Employer may increase any Member's salary for purposes of merit recognition provided that such Member was a Member during the previous academic year.

The Employer shall increase such Members' individual salaries by an amount sufficient to fully use the funds specified for the purpose of Merit Adjustment in Sections 501.260, and 501.280. 501.300 Determination of Merit for the adjustment for FY 2007 shall include consideration for the evaluation period consisting of calendar years 2006. Determination of Merit for the adjustment for FY 2008 shall include consideration for the evaluation period consisting of calendar year 2007. Determination of Merit for the adjustment for FY 2009 shall include consideration for the evaluation period consisting of calendar year 2008.

501.000 Salary Adjustments FY2007, FY2008, FY2009.

501.250 Salary Adjustments 2006-2007.

Effective June 12,2006, the Employer shall increase the aggregate salary base for eligible Members by no less than 3 % to be distributed as detailed in 501.260 plus an amount equal to the total costs of promotional adjustments under 500.150 and of floor adjustments under 501.500.

501.260 Distribution 2006-2007.

The no less than 3.0 % salary adjustment will be distributed as follows:

  1. 1% for Merit Adjustment.
  2. 1% shall be used by the Employer to increase each eligible Member's previous year's salary base by an equal percentage.
  3. 1% shall be used by the Employer to increase each eligible Member's previous year's base salary by an equal dollar amount,prorated by percent time appointment.
  4. Any additional funds allocated for salary adjustments shall be used for additional Merit Adjustment, or for Market-Based Retention Adjustments for Individual Members.

501.270 Salary Adjustments 2007-2008.

Effective June 11,2007, the Employer shall increase the aggregate salary base for eligible Members by no less than 3 % to be distributed as detailed in 501.280 plus an amount equal to the total costs of promotional adjustments under 500.150 and of floor adjustments under 501.500.

501.280 Distribution 2007-2008.

The no less than 3.0 % salary adjustment will be distributed as follows:

  1. 1% for Merit Adjustment.
  2. 1% shall be used by the Employer to increase each eligible Member's previous year' salary base by an equal percentage.
  3. 1% shall be used by the Employer to increase each eligible Member's previous year's base salary by an equal dollar amount,prorated by percent time appointment.
  4. Any additional funds allocated for salary adjustments shall be used for additional Merit Adjustment, or for Market-Based Retention Adjustments for Individual Members.

501.290 Salary Adjustments 2008-2009.

Effective June 9,2008, the Employer shall increase the aggregate salary base for eligible Members by no less than 3 % to be distributed as detailed in 501.300 plus an amount equal to the total costs of promotional adjustments under 500.150 and of floor adjustments under 501.500.

501.300 Distribution 2008-2009.

The no less than 3.0 % salary adjustment will be distributed as follows:

  1. 1% for Merit Adjustment.
  2. 1% shall be used by the Employer to increase each eligible Member's previous year's salary base by an equal percentage.
  3. 1% shall be used by the Employer to increase each eligible Member's previous year's base salary by an equal dollar amount,prorated by percent time appointment.
  4. Any additional funds allocated for salary adjustments shall be used for additional Merit Adjustment, or for Market-Based Retention Adjustments for Individual Members.

501.500 Floor Adjustment.

Following the determination of all previously described adjustments, the Employer annually will ensure that each Member's 9 month appointment base salary in their second contract or after their third year of service, and in all subsequent years, exceeds the following values: Instructor (9404)$27,500; Assistant Professor (9403) $30,000; Associate Professor (9402)$35,000; and Full Professor (9401) $40,000.
