105.000 Non-Discrimination

105.100 Employer Responsibility.

The Employer accepts its responsibility to insure equal opportunity in all aspects of employment for all Members regardless of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, gender, marital status, physical or other disability, age, veteran's status, political belief or affiliation, membership or non-membership in any employee organization, status with regard to public assistance, sexual orientation, place of residence or personal life away from the institution. The Employer shall not interfere with the right of a Member to become or not to become a member of the Association and shall not discriminate against, interfere with, restrain or coerce any Member because of h/her membership or non-membership in the Association or because of h/her activity in an official capacity on behalf of the Association which is in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement. With respect to Members, the Employer agrees to implement all programs of affirmative action required by federal or state law, regulation, guideline or policy. The absence of such laws, regulations, guidelines or policies shall not relieve the Employer of its responsibility to promote actively the equality of opportunity for all Members.

105.200 Association Responsibility.

The Association accepts its responsibility as exclusive representative and agrees to represent all Members without discrimination as to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, gender, marital status, physical or other disability, age, veteran's status, political belief or affiliation, membership or non-membership in any employee organization, status with regard to public assistance, sexual orientation, place of residence or personal life away from the institution.
