MOU - Additional Reduction to Instructional Workload

The content of this page applies to UEA employees on the University of Minnesota, Crookston campus.


The University may grant an aggregate reduction of up to a maximum of 6 additinal credit hours per academic year (in addition to reduction specified in 251.221) based on approved applications for proposals to improve the viability of the University of Minnesota, Crookston. Faculty may apply for a reduced teaching load by submitting a proposal that meets one or more of the following objectives:

  • Improvement of campus climate and culture
  • Expansion of international students and globalization of curriculum
  • Recruitment of new students
  • Improvement of retention and graduation rate of students
  • Growth in sponsored funding

This Memorandum of Understanding expires on June 30, 2009.
