MOU - On-line and On-campus Instruction

The content of this page applies to UEA employees on the University of Minnesota, Crookston campus.


A labor management committee will be established with four representatives selected by the UEA, Crookston and four representatives selected by University of Minnesota, Crookston Administration. The committee will be chaired by two co-chairs, one selected by administration and one selected by UEA-Crookston.

The goal is that the committee will engage productively in free, open, and constructive dialogue.

The purpose of the Committee is to consider and develop recommendations regarding the relationship between on-line and on- campus instruction including workload, suggested course size, models of compensation, and course delivery that consider:
The University’s mission of teaching, research, and outreach
UMC’s strategic goals and objectives
UMC’s vision and core values
Best practices

The parties agree to participate in Labor Management Training as arranged and provided for by the Bureau of Mediation Services.

This Committee will begin its work as soon as this contract is signed and will submit their recommendations to UMC Administration and UEA no later than March 31, 2014.

This MOU expires June 30, 2014.
