Article 6 Union Steward

The Union and the Employer agree that each craft shall have a Union Steward, who shall be appointed by the Union.  The Union Steward shall be allowed a reasonable amount of time during the work day to conduct union business; however, his or her union duties shall not interfere with the performance of her or his work assignments.  The Steward shall be the last journeyperson to be laid off in their craft, provided that he or she is qualified to perform the required work.
