About Organizational Effectiveness

Organizational Effectiveness, within the Office of Human Resources, serves as a gateway to training, development, and consulting resources that build organizational capacity, increase individual capabilities, and promote a culture of excellence through strong leadership. The division collaborates with institutional stakeholders to strategically and systemically address the University's mission and goals.

Organizational Effectiveness offers a variety of programs and services designed to build job skills and enhance professional development. We provide workshops, seminars, classes, and consulting services to over 14,000 U of M participants each year. Our facilitators are also available for customized, onsite sessions for colleges, departments, areas, or work units.

Professional Development Fair

The first annual University of Minnesota Professional Development Fair was a big success. Planning is underway for 2010. Details will be posted when available. Video from the 2009 Fair has been posted, along with a list of training organizations that participated in the vendor fair.


Monthly Newsletter

Career and Professional Development News is the Organizational Effectiveness monthly e-newsletter. This monthly e-newsletter will introduce you to ideas for career and professional development. Each issue highlights a favorite development book of a University leader. In addition, each issue features information on career and personal development opportunities.
