The results suggest that a majority of faculty across all four campuses are satisfied with work, with Crookston faculty reporting slightly lower satisfaction.

These patterns in satisfaction with work, department chair or responsible administrator, and with coworkers are similar across the survey periods of 2004, 2006, and 2008.
These graphs are based on responses to questions that assessed faculty's satisfaction across different University and department characteristics. In general, faculty report satisfaction with their employment; 78% report satisfaction with employment at the University, 71% would recommend employment at the University to a friend, and 75% would take a position with the University again. Questions about specific areas of satisfaction show slightly lower levels of satisfaction. A majority of faculty members report satisfaction with the prestige of the University (59%) and more than half (57%) indicate their satisfaction with the prestige of their department or unit. Similarly, 65% of faculty members indicate their satisfaction with the geographic location and 40% report their satisfaction with opportunities available for their spouse in the community, but only 24% are satisfied with the opportunities available for the spouse/partner in the University. Finally, 50% of faculty indicate their satisfaction with leadership, 28% report their dissatisfaction with the leadership, and 22% do not offer an opinion one way or the other.
Overall, 78% of the faculty report their satisfaction with employment at the University.

A majority of faculty (71%) reported that they would recommend the University as an employer.

Almost 75% of faculty would seek employment with the University again.
