Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2008 Pulse survey. This biennial employee satisfaction survey is commissioned by the University's central administration and conducted in partnership with the Human Resources Research Institute in the Carlson School of Management. The goal is to measure faculty and staff satisfaction with the University of Minnesota as an employer and use the data to continuously improve the employee experience.
The 2008 survey indicated that employee satisfaction remains high, and overall survey results are moving in a positive direction. Some of the biggest improvements were in confidence about the University’s direction, including the direction of departments. More employees also feel they better understand how their job contributes to the University’s mission.
Several initiatives are currently underway that directly address issues identified by the Pulse survey.
If you have questions or concerns about the Pulse survey or would like to request the results in an alternate format, please e-mail ohr@umn.edu.
