AFSCME Technical Unit 7 Ratify Contract

On Monday, October 15, AFSCME Technical Unit 7 members ratified a 2007-09 labor contract between the union and the University. We are extremely pleased to have reached mutual agreement on what we believe to be a fair and equitable contract that includes both across-the-board pay and step increases. This agreement is comparable to agreements reached with other employee groups and consistent with our principles of equitable treatment and fair compensation for all employees.

Following are highlights of the contract:

10/1/2008 Annual step increases Employees not currently earning at maximum rate of classification
6/2008 $300 lump-sum payment All employees in the union
6/2008 $300 lump-sum payment All employees at or above the top of their salary range
