Executive, Administrative, & Managerial

• University and department administrators such as deans, provosts, department heads, directors, supervisors and managers.
• University Employee Groups: Academic Administrators (93xx), and Civil Service (3xxx, 7xxx, 8xxx).

Staff - Professional Non-Faculty

• Accountant, Graphic Designer/Media Artist, General Staff Nurse, Social Worker, Scientist or Editor
• University Employee Groups: Civil Service (3xxx, 7xxx, 8xxx).

Staff - Secretarial/Clerical

• Principal Accounts Specialist, Office Support Assistant, Principal Office and Administrative Specialist, Program/Project Specialist.
• University Employee Groups: AFSCME Cerical (18xx), Civil Service (7xxx, 8xxx).

Staff - Technical/Para-Professional

• Community Program Assistant, Senior Laboratory Technician, Electronics Technician, Musician, Laboratory Animal Care Technician, Child Care Worker or Library Assistant.
• University Employee Groups: AFSCME Technical (49xx), Civil Service (7xxx, 8xxx).

Staff - Information Technology

• Data Processing Technician, Data Entry Operator, Applications Programmer, Analyst/Programmer or Data Processing Operations Supervisor.
• University Employee Groups: AFSCME Technical (49xx), Civil Service (7xxx, 8xxx).

Staff - Crafts & Skilled Labor

• Laboratory Machinist, Automotive Service Supervisor, Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor or General Maintenance Supervisor.
• There are few openings in this area.
• University Employee Groups: Civil Service (7xxx, 8xxx).

Staff - Service & Maintenance

• Crafts and service/maintenance positions where the classification is represented by the Teamsters union such as Maintenance Welder, Parking Attendant, Food Service Worker, Building and Grounds Worker or Heavy Equipment Operator.
• University Employee Groups: Teamsters (6xxx).

Student - Graduate Assistants

• Positions available to students currently enrolled in a U of M Graduate Program, such as Administrative Fellow, Graduate Instructor, Research Assistant, and Teaching Assistant.

Student - Professionals-in-Training

• Positions reserved for students enrolled in professional programs such as Medical Residents and Post-Doctoral Fellows.

Student - On-Campus

• Positions available for graduate and undergraduate students at the U of M, which are located on one of our campuses.
• University Employee Groups: Student (2xxx, 9512, 9513, 9522, 9523).

Student - Off-Campus

• Positions available for graduate and undergraduate students, which are located at employers other than the U of M.
