Civil Service Lump-Sum Eligibility Criteria

The following information describes the eligibility requirements you must meet to qualify to receive the $300 civil service lump-sum payment being paid in the March 12, 2008 paycheck.

  • You must be an active, paid civil service appointment as of February 18, 2008 (this includes employees classified as “active” or on a “paid leave of absence”).
  • If you received a lump-sum payment in the past fiscal year through the AFSCME collective bargaining agreement, you are not eligible for a civil service lump-sum payment.
  • If you are on a temporary, casual, or hourly appointment, you are not eligible for a civil service lump-sum payment.
  • If you are on a leave of absence, a suspension, or a short work break, you will receive the lump-sum payment when you return to work. Your department is responsible for coordinating the payment when you return.
