The Fit Choices program allows UPlan members who visit a participating fitness center eight times a month to receive up to a $20-a-month reimbursement of membership dues. Participating fitness centers include the University Rec Center in Minneapolis, St. Paul Gymnasium, RSOP Fitness Center in Duluth, Regional Fitness Center in Morris, and hundreds of other popular health clubs.
As a UPlan Medical Program member, you and your family are invited to participate in activities sponsored by the Wellness Program that are designed to promote health and prevent disease. There are many programs you can participate in, depending on your interests and health goals.
Connect to online Healthy Living programs to lose weight or reduce stress, or work over the phone with a personal wellness coach. Health Connections begins with an online UPlan Wellness Assessment, when completed, you’ll receive $65!
Walk-in UPlan Health Screenings administered by Boynton Health Service on the Twin Cities campus are available to all UPlan members.

OptumHealth℠ 24/7 NurseLine℠ services are available around-the-clock to answer questions from UPlan members. Call toll-free, night or day, to reach an experienced registered nurse to:
* recognize symptoms and choose appropriate health care
* learn to manage a medical condition and explore treatment options
* identify potential medication side effects
* make the most of your clinic visits
* achieve a healthful lifestyle
This private and confidential service is available to you and your family members at no charge as one of the benefits offered through the Wellness Program.
The OptumHealth℠ 24/7 NurseLine℠ toll-free number is listed on the back side of a UPlan member's wallet-sized health plan card.
The popular 10,000 Steps® Program walking program from HealthPartners is back. You can take advantage of this sure-fire way to boost your physical activity, lose weight, and receive $65 for completing the program. The program is available to all University faculty and staff at no cost through the Employee Wellness Program, and a free pedometer will be mailed to you.
The U of MN Farmers Market is open Wednesdays from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., July through October. The University of Minnesota Farmers Market features vendors who have been contracted to sell locally-grown produce, berries, and fresh flowers. Visitors to the market can also purchase maple syrup and apples from the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.
