Voting & Election Judge Leave

Voting Leave

Voting leave is a paid leave of absence to vote in any state-held general election, primary, special election, and special primary on Election Day. The leave covers only scheduled hours and is for the time necessary to appear at the employee's polling place, cast a ballot, and return to work. As with other leaves, employees need to specifically request time off to vote. Specific provisions are outlined in the Administrative Policy: Military, Court Appearance, or Civic Duty Leaves and respective employee group governing documents.

Election Judge Leave

Election judge leave is a paid leave of absence to serve as a precinct election judge. Specific provisions are outlined in the Administrative Policy: Military, Court Appearance, or Civic Duty Leaves and respective employee group governing documents listed above.
