Transition from Modem Pool to ISP

The University modem pool and the 800 modem pool were decommissioned on December 31st, 2007.. Our customer base has greatly declined as people move to alternate Internet Service Providers (ISP) offering services such as DSL and cable modem. With our aging equipment and the increasing costs of sustaining the service, we are no longer able to support modem pool service. Networking and Telecommunication Services (NTS) has selected a number of vendors to provide residential fee-based Internet service at a discounted rate. University Faculty, Students, Staff, and Alumni with active email accounts may purchase this service directly from the selected vendors through UMart.
