NTS > Campus Phones Campus PhonesNetworking and Telecommunications Services provides public services to the University of Minnesota Campus community through campus phones. This service offers free public campus telephones in key campus locations. With the growth of personal mobile telephone services and widespread use of them on campus, payphones are no longer cost effective for telephone companies to retain. NTS will install new campus telephones in place of some of the outgoing pay phones, offer local, 911 emergency calls to the University police, and information calls to the campus information at 625-5000.
