Mercury 300
The 300 MHz NMR spectrometer is owned by the University of Minnesota
Medicinal Chemistry Deptartment and maintained by our facility personnel.
The 300 is located in Weaver-Densford Hall on the University of Minnesota
East Bank campus.
The 300 MHz spectrometer has been upgraded from the GE system
to a two-channel
Varian Mercury system
with a pulsed-field gradient, four-nucleus, switchable probe.
Probe signal-to-noise specifications:
1H 120:1
19F 120:1
31P 70:1
13C 85:1
15N is also available upon request.
The spectrometer will be available to all facility users who complete the training procedure.
The training request form can be returned to the NMR lab in Weaver-Densford Hall or to Dr. Ostrowski in NHH 1-130 (BSBE) or submited via email. (Note: This form requires
Acrobat 7.0 or higher.
Hourly Charges for 300 MHz NMR:
prime time: $10/hr.
off-hours: $5/hr.
Minimum monthly charge: $10.00 (effective Feb. 1, 2007)
