Insitute for Therapeutic Discovery and Development 400MHz NMR

Resources

The 400 MHz NMR spectrometer, located in the new 717 Building, 717 Delaware SE on the University of Minnesota East Bank Campus, is owned by the UMN Institute for Therapeutic Discovery and Development and maintained by our facility personnel.

The 400 MHz Bruker Avance spectrometer is currently equipped with a BBO broadband probe and a 60-sample autosampler for routine work, and a flow-probe with a Gilson liquids handler for Combinatorial Chemistry analysis.

Access and Billing

The spectrometer is available to all facility users who complete the training procedure. The training request form can be accessed from the "ITDD 4001" menu above. There is an email option on the pdf, but if that isn't working you must save and send the form to Beverly Ostrowski at ostro016@umn.edu.

Hourly Charges for 400 MHz NMR:
prime time: $10/hr. (M-F 10AM-5PM)
off-hours: $5/hr. (M-F 5PM-10AM, Sat/Sun)

BBO Broadband Probe

This probe is designed for the best sensitivity on heteronuclei such as carbon and phosphorous. This probe is equipped for Z-axis gradients.
