U of M Moment - Gulf spill inspires U of M class
Although a horrible national disaster, the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico will also serve as a learning opportunity for U of M students. Robert Gilmer, a history PhD candidate, will teach a course sponsored by the Institute for Advanced Study entitled "Oil and Water: The Gulf Oil Spill of 2010" this fall. Gilmer travels to Louisiana this month to research for the class.
Gilmer hopes this trip will bring multiple benefits to his students.
