Starchaart showing Comet NEAT's path through the stars in mid-May.

Comet NEAT zips up through the southwestern sky between May 8 and 21. The comet's path slices through the sky halfway between Jupiter and Saturn. Best bet: May 14-16, when the comet swings close to the lovely Beehive star cluster. The comet's position is charted here for several dates between May 6 and 21.
