Netfiles will be unavailable on Sunday, 5/3/2009 from 6:00 am for between 6 to 12 hours due to maintenance in the data center. For full information see the system status page.

A new version of the Xythos drive has been made available. If you currently have the Xythos drive installed on your computer, the next time it is launched, it should automatically upgrade to the latest version.

NetFiles will be down from 6 to 10am on Saturday 6/7/08 due to switch work in the data centers.

NetFiles will be down from 8 to 11am on Sunday 3/9/08 for database optimizations. Sorry for the short notice, we expect this to help prevent service interruptions similar to what occurred earlier this week.

Due to intermittent performance issues we will be rebooting the NetFiles service overnight tonight between 3 and 4 am. Problems are occurring in particular when performing actions on many files, changing permissions for a folder or emptying a large trash for example. These issues seem to be caused by locking issues in the database that will be cleared by the restart. We are also working with the vendor to identify the cause of this problem.

NetFiles will be unavailable during the morning of March 2nd for an upgrade to version 6 of the Xythos digital locker software. NetFiles will be available by noon following the upgrade. User visible changes are minor, and the built in help documentation has been updated to reflect those changes.

The upgrade to NetFiles scheduled for this Sunday the 28th has been postponed due to problems with the upgrade process. A new date will be announced when we have this trouble resolved.

NetFiles will be unavailable on Sunday morning October 28th for a software upgrade. The system is expected to be available by Noon. This will upgrade NetFiles to version 6 of Xythos' Digital Locker Software. Full text searches will also work after the upgrade, the full text index will take some time to be built.

NetFiles will be unavailable at 10am on Sunday, August 19th. It will be available again by Noon the same day. This outage will allow the production database to be moved to new hardware.
