Via myU

For users with Internet IDs who are already enrolled into a Moodle site:

1. Go to myU portal page at http://myu.umn.edu
2. Enter your University Internet ID/password. Click Login button
3. Select the My courses tab, and then click on the appropriate semester sub-tab to see the links to Moodle sites to which you already have access as a student or as an instructor.
   Remember to log out and close all browser windows when you are finished using Moodle.

Via Moodle server

For users with Internet IDs and Guest IDs:

1. Go to Moodle server page at http://moodle.umn.edu
2. Click Login link in the upper right corner, and enter your University Internet ID/password.
3. You will see the list of Moodle sites to which you already have access as an instructor or a student.
   You also will be able to review other sites and self-enroll into those as a student, if they are open for public access.
   Remember to log out and close all browser windows when you are finished using Moodle

For read-only browsing though open sites:

1. Go to Moodle server page at http://moodle.umn.edu
2. Click Guest Login button in the lower left corner. If you are already authenticated with the UofM, you will not see the button. Make sure to logout first: http://www.umn.edu/logout
3. Search for a site and click on its name. You can be required to enter a password (enrollment key). This key should be send to you by site designer in advance.

About IDs:

Internet ID
Internet IDs are created for all faculty, staff, and students affiliated with the University. You will use them to as access most of the university applications and services.

Guest ID
Non-University of Minnesota users can create University Guest Accounts to access Moodle sites (as well as WebVista and other University services that allow guest access)

• Forgot your Internet ID? - look it up http://www.umn.edu/lookup
• Forgot your password? – call OIT Helpline at 612-301-4357 (1-HELP) to reset it.
• First –time users:
  • Students should fill out this form: https://www.umn.edu/initiate
