Student support

If users:

• have never accessed Moodle before,
• are not affiliated with an academic site as students,
• cannot be located in the Moodle database via the Assign Roles interface,

then they should activate their Moodle accounts by logging in with the Internet ID or Guest ID to the Moodle server. Once they login there, their accounts will be initiated right away, and they will be added to the user database.

Note to instructors:
If you have an academic site with autofetching turned on, your students do not need to do this, since they will be added to the user database and to your site automatically.
