Moodle supports 2 types of access: one requires authentication, and the other does not.
1. Authenticated access with either the UofM Internet ID or UofM Guest ID (created by non-University of Minnesota users).
2. Non-authenticated read-only anonymous access: does not require authentication, but may require a password (aka enrollment key). It allows people to browse anonymously through public Moodle sites. Instructors can allow such access by adjusting the access settings of their sites.
