Number of users and sites

Moodle user base is growing rather rapidly. Total user base has 45,000 users and over 2,000 sites on production, which places UofM in the top 2% of moodle installations by user count.

Numbers below include only sites used to support academic courses that use Moodle as their course management system and have autofetching of students set up.
Moodle is also used for training and collaboration purposes; those sites are not included in the numbers below. You may browse list of such sites on our server.
