In particular, the materials are designed to assist you in maximizing the benefit you derive from the hours you spend outside of class preparing your daily assignments. In order to make use of the disk you must have access to a computer running the Microsoft Windows operating system. The program will run on Windows 95, 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, and XP.  In addition, you must use version 5.5 or higher of the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser to access the program.  The Netscape and other browsers are not currently supported by this program nor are non-Windows operating environments. In order to use the programs most effectively your system must be able to display the characters of the Cyrillic alphabet, and you must be able to type them.  Click on "Installation Instructions" for further information.

Important Note: Suitably configured computers are available for your use in the Computer Lab of the College of Liberal Arts Language Center, located in room 148 Folwell Hall. Lab hours are posted.

The disk contains materials of various kinds:  tutorials and exercises, video and audio clips, and images.  The materials are drawn from and co-ordinated with the textbook Nachalo, by S. Lubensky et al.  The developers hope that these materials will facilitate your study of the Russian language.  We wish you the very best with your efforts.
