E3 2007 Research Poster Competition

 

Congratulations to our E3 2007 research poster winners, and thanks to all of our 40-plus participants! As a result of your innovative projects and clear explanations, the attendees walked away with deeper knowledge and perspectives on IREE-funded research at the University of Minnesota.

Note: The scientific/technical and visual scores were based on how well the research and conclusions were presented, and the poster’s level of applicability and contribution to scientific achievement.

 

Scientific and Technical Merit Award

Title: “Solar Cells Based on Semiconductor Nanoparticles and Nanowires”

Visual Presentation and Clarity Award

Title: “Direct and metagenomic strategies for engineering biocatalysts able to convert cellulose and other biopolymer byproducts into electricity”
