Graduate Assistant Tuition Benefits Most Graduate Assistants who work for the University have tuition benefits along with their hourly pay, which means that their tuition costs are partially or completely paid for.

- A student worker can be hired as you would hire any other employee or intern-- the University does not have to be involved in the hiring or placement of the student.
- In this case, normal County hiring procedures would apply for the student. Pay can be determined by your office, but these are typical pay ranges at the University for student workers:
- Most undergraduate hires will not require faculty involvement, but the student may wish to have an informal connection to a professor for advising. Graduate students are most likely to require a faculty involvement if the position is set up as a Graduate Assistantship.
