In summer 2010, a small group of students researched and summarized current laws pertaining to Minnesota county government's health responsibilities and conducted a search and summary of laws in other states regarding county mental and public health responsibilities. |

In 2009, Hennepin County decided to seek an outside evaluation of their “Be at School" truancy initiative rolled out in seven schools during the 2007-2008 school year. Hennepin County now plans to implement this initiative in all schools starting in fall 2010. The Partnership arranged a meeting following which the County decided to partner with the research fellow and the Director of the Center for Advanced Studies in Child Welfare on this evaluation. |
