Hennepin County recently hired a University faculty member to perform demographic analysis on the recent decrease in child abuse cases.

In summer 2010, a small group of students researched and summarized current laws pertaining to Minnesota county government's health responsibilities and conducted a search and summary of laws in other states regarding county mental and public health responsibilities.

In 2009, Hennepin County decided to seek an outside evaluation of their “Be at School" truancy initiative rolled out in seven schools during the 2007-2008 school year.  Hennepin County now plans to implement this initiative in all schools starting in fall 2010.  The Partnership arranged a meeting following which the County decided to partner with the research fellow and the Director of the Center for Advanced Studies in Child Welfare on this evaluation.
