According to Article 92 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia the highest judiciary body in Republic of Armenia, except from constitutional-justice issues, is the Court of Cassation of Republic of Armenia (henceforth Court of Cassation), which is entitled to provide uniform law enforcement. The authorities of the Court of Cassation are defined by the Constitution and laws.
The goal of the activities of the Court of Cassation is the provision of uniform enforcement of the law, its correct interpretation and support to the development of justice. The Court of Cassation within its authorities, according to the prescribed orders of the Codes of Civil and Criminal Procedures, oversees the acts of lower courts.
Currently the Court of Cassation consists of the Chairman of the Court, civil and criminal chambers. Each chamber consists of a chairman and five judges.
One Court of Cassation is acting in the Republic of Armenia, the centre of which is in Yerevan.
Each judge of the Court of Cassation has one adviser and one assistant, who support the judge in implementing his/her authorities. The adviser to the judge prepares the draft court acts as well as is implementing other commissions by the judge.
The Court of Cassation is headed by the Chairman of the Court of Cassation.
The Chairman of the Court of Cassation is performing all the authorities legally prescribed to the chairman and judge of the chamber.

The Court of Cassation has a staff which is a subdivision of Judicial Department, Republic of Armenia and is entitled to provide the regular activities of the court. The legal status and functions are stated in laws of Republic of Armenia, by the special legislation of “The staff of the Court of Cassation - Republic of Armenia Judicial Department-SAI (State Administrative Body), by the decisions (orders) of the founder and other legal acts.
Department of Legal investigations implements an important function in the structure of the Court. It implements an initial investigation of the court acts, decisions and other documents of the court and provides an expertise opinion about them.
The international links of the Court of Cassation and other courts of the Republic of Armenia are provided by the Department on International cooperation, protocol and information, which supports the relations between Republic of Armenia and foreign courts and respectively various international organizations.
One can apply to the Court by submitting documents in the court office or by sending them by post.
