One Billion Strong and the University of Minnesota Human Rights Center are proud to announce the release of the second edition of Human Rights. YES! Action and Advocacy on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. This new training and advocacy tool is based on the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and is designed to equip persons with disabilities and their representative organizations to integrate a comprehensive and globally-minded human rights approach into their advocacy work. This new edition reflects significant developments in the disability rights field since the Convention came into force in 2008 and includes new case studies, updated statistics, and a new section on how to use the treaty. The manual will be available in both electronic and 3 different hard copy styles (binder, sleeve/box, and perfect bound). In the meantime, you can still access the first edition through this website.
