Commission on Human Rights decision 1999/106


At its 56th meeting, on 27 April 1999, the Commission on Human Rights, taking note of Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities resolution 1998/21 of 21 August 1998, decided, without a vote, to approve the Sub-Commission's requests to the Secretary-General to transmit as soon as possible the progress report on the working paper on indigenous people and their relationship to land (E/CN.4/Sub.2/1998/15), together with the preliminary working paper on the same topic (E/CN.4/Sub.2/1997/17 and Corr.1), to Governments, indigenous people and intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations for their comments, data and suggestions, and to provide the Special Rapporteur with all the assistance necessary to enable her to complete her final working paper in accordance with Commission decision 1997/114 of 11 April 1997 and Economic and Social Council decision 1997/289 of 22 July 1997.
