Writing a Letter to the EditorTake 10 minutes to write your own letter and let your neighbors know how the U makes your community a better place to live. Step 1: Choose your letter theme, whether it's the value of public research, access to higher education, or your own personal story. Start with one of these sample letters if you like: Step 2: Personalize your letter, adding relevant facts and concerns to make your letter unique. Step 3: Send the letter to your local paper. Always include your name, address and daytime phone number so the newspaper can verify you as the author. |
