Learn about the U's 2010 capital request

The U of M’s 2010 capital investment (bonding) request (PDF) calls for major investments in building repair and preservation, renovation of Folwell Hall, a new physics and nanotechnology center and American Indian Learning Resource Center (Twin Cities and Duluth, respectively), laboratory renovation, and support for a new biological research station at Itasca. Your support will be crucial in helping the U advocate for these projects.

Also, be sure to visit our new "How does the bonding process work?" page to learn the ins and outs of the capital-request year.

The U and CCLRT

Tim Mulcahy, the U's Vice-President for research, appeared in video to outline the U's concerns about the Central Corridor light rail transit (CCLRT) project:
"We’ve been working with the light rail project now for a number of months to try to identify adequate solutions that will allow a win-win outcome - protect our research while preserving the opportunity to put the light rail line along Washington Avenue."
(PDF transcript available.)
Visit the U's CCLRT website to see the U's most recent letter to the FTA, a project timeline, an FAQ and more.
