Field Admin Support Technologists is a group of technology-savy individuals within Academic and Distributed Computing Services (ADCS) whose purpose is to provide low-cost, part-time technological consultation and support to departments at the University of Minnesota's Twin Cities campuses.

The Field Administration Support Technologists group, or FAST, was created because there was an interest in and need for this type of flexible technological support at the University. All of the departments at the University of Minnesota, academic and otherwise, use technology to varying degrees every day. And while their use of technology maybe all but mandatory, having a full-time person on staff to support those technologies shouldn't be.
