The Vision

The University of Minnesota created the Enterprise Systems Project to help provide a more service-oriented environment to its students, staff, faculty, and Minnesota as a whole. We support this goal with the newly redesigned and rethought University information systems, policies, and business practices, which can be seen in the following improvements:

Resources for Better Service
The One Stop: http://onestop.umn.edu/

  • Multiple routes to information through self-service Web access, or One Stop locations on East Bank, West Bank, and the St Paul campuses.
  • Staff Help Desks to provide quick tutorials, advice, and referrals.

Cross-Departmental Training, Communications, and Collaboration

  • Streamlined policies, procedures, and rules
    Policies and Procedures: http://www.fpd.finop.umn.edu/
  • Cross-trained frontline staff in OTR, Financial Aid, Bursar’s Office, and college advising offices can now answer the "top ten" questions for a student, regardless of location.
  • Front line staff has also been trained in general University information and resources.
